What’s your photography style?

Our style is a blend of modern portraiture and photojournalism. We take a storytelling approach to wedding photography and capture a variety of images including details, candid moments, and portraits. The wedding day is dynamic and requires different approaches throughout the day.  We’re skilled at harnessing varied lighting conditions, directing groups, posing and are always on the lookout for spontaneous and emotional moments. Most importantly we love what we do and have fun doing it.


Your photos are awesome but what makes you different?

We are in love with weddings.  Wedding photography is our specialty and we want to be your trusted advisor with all things wedding related. We know that wedding planning can be overwhelming at times when juggling (work, school, family life, etc). We’ll guide you on best practices and help you plan your day-of timeline so your day flows smoothly and stress free. When you book us, we become part of your wedding team.  We’re easy-going and flexible and will coordinate with your vendors to ensure we all work together like a well-oiled machine. Your wedding will rock and we want to help ensure it! 


Can you shoot my outdoor wedding at night?

You can be sure we are creative and talented professionals that will capture beautiful images in any lighting and location circumstance. We're well versed in off-camera lighting techniques and thrive in all sorts of dynamic situations.   As experienced wedding photographers we have a bag of tricks and tools to ensure your day is captured beautifully and artistically.


Do you have a second photographer?

Often times, yes.  Sonia Tapia is the Lead Photographer for most events.  Our second photographers are experienced and have been with Enchanted Bliss for the long haul. It takes years to train a photographer to uphold the quality of work you deserve.

We are a close-knit team of extraordinary photographers. Booking a second photographer is optional but recommended on the wedding day. Most of our weddings are captured with two photographers. To tell your complete story, it’s important to capture different perspectives. At a wedding there can be many gears moving, lots of guests or other circumstances that benefit from a 2nd photographer.


Do you have an assistant?

Yes, always. An assistant is not the same as a second photographer.  The assistant lends a hand with lighting, equipment setup, is the photographer’s all-around go-to person, as well as a second pair of eyes to catch details. Our assistants are friendly, super helpful and professional.


How do we book you and what's your payment plan?

To ensure you secure Enchanted Bliss for your date, a $700 retainer is payable at the time of booking along with a signed contract. The balance is due 14 days before the event date.


When do we get our pictures?

We have quick turnaround time for delivering a full collection of retouched wedding images. It will be at most 6 weeks.  Frequently, it’s closer to 3 to 4 weeks after the wedding but it varies depending on time of year. We’ve been known to show a teaser preview within a couple days of the wedding day.


How many pictures do we get?

Every wedding is unique.  Timelines and circumstances vary so an exact number is hard to pinpoint. We take a storytelling approach to wedding photography and capture a variety of images including details, candid moments, and portraits.  Typically, you can expect to receive 450-550 final images for an 8-hour event.  A full day of coverage can range from 10 to 13 hours with approximately 600-800 final images.


Do you edit all the photographs?

You will receive a culled collection of images. Each one is retouched.  We offer two retouching levels.

  1. Basic Edits include color correction, contrast and crop. All images receive at a minimum Basic Edits. When you print your images, they will look great. 
  2. Signature Edits include Basic Edits in addition to enhancements left to the photographer’s artistic discretion. We like to say these have extra “Photoshop Love”.  They’re individually evaluated depending on the artistry intended and may include enhanced colors and textures, skin softening, liquefy (nip and tuck), blemish removal, cloning, composites, black & white, etc. These are the images you'll be proud display as artwork on your wall. 


Do you provide video services?

Photography is our specialty and we stick to what we do best.  We are happy to provide referrals for quality videographers that we love to work with and reflect the same level of professionalism as Enchanted Bliss.


Do you shoot engagement sessions?

We love engagement sessions! It’s highly recommended that our couples have an engagement session to become comfortable in front of the camera and working with a photographer. The goal is to provide you with a personalized engagement photo session. To achieve that, Sonia Tapia will have a consultation with you prior to your shoot.   An engagement session is like the making of a movie.  We are the director and you are the actors.  We'll walk you through the logistics of finding the perfect locations that fit your style. Perhaps it’s a café where you had your first date or you want to feel like a movie star in a “set” like an airplane hangar or sports venue.  We'll help you plan the styling of your wardrobe and accessories to create the perfect mood matching each location.  And of course we’ll plan the best time of day for the most optimal and flattering light. Your shoot can be several hours and include two or three locations within a nearby radius. The look and mood of the photographs can be achieved by using various locations and wardrobe changes. 

For your engagement  we want to capture your dynamic as a couple and tidbits of your individual personalities.  We want to know what brings you together.  It may be as subtle as a stolen glance or the gentle way he moves your hair away from your face. What is your essence as a couple? We want to discover it and capture YOU.  


What will you wear to my wedding?

A wedding is a very special event and we treat it as such.  We aim to be stylish and elegant to blend in with guests keeping in mind the venue and style of the wedding.  Female photographers and assistants wear dark clothes such as an understated black dress or slacks with a dressy top and comfortable but stylish dress shoes. Men wear dark colored slacks, collar dress shirt and tie or dress polo depending on the weather and dress-code of the event.


Will you travel for my event?

Yes, we love to travel and welcome destination weddings and events.  We’ve had the pleasure of shooting across the world in locations such as Maui, Cozumel, Denver, New York, Italy and Spain.  We are based in Old Town Pasadena and regularly service the Southern California area including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, Inland Empire, and Ventura. It’s like we’re tourist in our own town and we love it! It’s quite common for us to shoot a wedding in Temecula on Saturday and another event in Malibu the next day.


Do you have liability insurance?

Yes, we carry industry standard liability coverage. We’ll be happy to provide your venue with proof of coverage.


Do you have backup equipment? 

Yes, we always have backup cameras, a variety of lenses and lighting equipment on hand. We live by the Girl Scout motto BE PREPARED. "A Girl Scout is ready to help out wherever she is needed. Willingness to serve is not enough; you must know how to do the job well, even in an emergency."  Good words to live by.
